Nivoro tool

Assignment Prioritizer

When several tasks compete for attention, compare urgency, importance, and remaining work before deciding what to tackle.

Choose what to start next

List tasks with due dates, estimated effort, importance, and progress. The ranking is a prompt for decision-making, not a command to ignore course requirements.

No tasks yet. Add real deadlines and estimates to begin.

How to use this tool

  1. Add the tasks that genuinely compete for your time and use real deadlines.
  2. Estimate effort honestly. Split large assignments into smaller steps such as outline, research, draft, and revision.
  3. Rate importance in the context of course requirements and dependencies, not just how stressful the task feels.
  4. Override the suggested order when an instructor’s instruction or a team dependency requires a different sequence.

What the result means

The ranking combines urgency, importance, effort remaining, and progress into a comparison score. It cannot know whether a task is conceptually difficult, whether someone is waiting on you, or whether you need clarification first. A small action that removes a blocker may be more valuable than completing a larger task.
